Two and a half Men

Two and a Half Man is an Emmy award nominated sitcom which premiered on September 22, 2003. As apparent by the title, the show is about two grown up men and a boy. The story revolves around two brothers Charlie and Allen who are poles apart. Charlie, a freelance jingle composer and an irresistible Casanova leads a luxurious life in a beach house. He enjoys his bachelorhood with girls but is scared of commitment. Allen, a control freak and a compulsive neatness freak is a chiropractor who is thrown out by his shrewd wife Judith. Perhaps the only thing they have in common is their dislike for their maternally cold and domineering mother, Evelyn.
Allen along with his son Jake comes to live ‘temporarily’ with Charlie after being thrown out by his wife. The sitcom revolves around their conflicting lifestyle and opinions about how to raise the boy. Jake, now has caring and efficient dad for doing essential but boring stuff and a fun loving uncle to teach him fun things.
The show is an example of amazing creative writing. The humor springs out of amusing real life situations. The series has completed five seasons and sixth season is under production.
