The OC

The OC is a teen drama series that made its debut on American television on August 5, 2003. It ran for four consecutive seasons and came to an end on February 22, 2007. The series follows the fictional lives of a group of teenagers and their families residing in Newport Beach in Orange County, California. Set in an idyllic paradise, where everything and everyone seem to be perfect, the wealthy harbor-front community has its share of skeletons rattling in the cupboard. Beneath, the veneer of perfection there is a world of shifting loyalties and identities with parents living lives hidden from their children and children living secret lives hidden from the parents. Thrown amidst them by the twist of destiny is Ryan Atwood (Benjamin McKenzie), a troubled teenager from the wrong side of the track in Los Angeles. After he is thrown out of his own home Ryan finds shelter in the home of stern but compassionate Sandford "Sandy" Cohen (Peter Gallagher) who had represented him in the past for his misdeeds. As he bonds with Cohen's son Seth (Adam Brody), a new life unfolds for Ryan, Cohens, Coopers and essentially everyone else in the turbulent and secretive community of OC.
