Small Ville
Set in a fictional town Smallville, Kansas, ‘Smallville’ is an American television series that made its debut on October 16, 2001. It has been shot in and around Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and is currently running with its 8th season. The series follows the adventures of adolescent Clark Kent during the years before he transforms into Superman. It all starts with a huge meteor shower in 1989 that destroys most of the town but it gives Jonathan and Martha Kent what they always wanted- a son they name Clark. Now, in 2001, Clark is like any other teenager grappling with the angst of growing up with a crush on the hottest girl in the school Lana Lane and friendship with Chloe Sullivan. The show also tells how Lex Luthor who is friendly with Clark and ok sort of guy would turn into a villain and prove to be the nemesis of Superman in later years.
The first four seasons were devoted to the High School years of Clark and his friends but since season five, the show has ventured into more adult setting with introduction of other DC comic book super heroes and villains and many characters moving on and attending colleges.
