 Jericho is an American drama series which revolves around the residents of a town Jericho, Kansas, struggling in the aftermath of a nuclear attack which shook the 23 major cities in United States. The show premiered on September 20, 2006 and came to an end on March 25, 2008.

Life in Jericho was like any other small town with people preoccupied with their petty private and business matters. But everything changes drastically after the explosion. Life becomes a struggle for existence where primal needs like food, fuel and self defense against invaders and plunderers are to be weighed against previously unknown and unexpected dangers, both primitive and technological.

Jake Green, son of Mayor Johnston Green, who was on a short visit, proves to be unexpectedly smart and resourceful hero who steps up to fight and save town and its citizens. As people struggle to survive a distorted world, most of them remain ignorant that the most recent addition to the town, Robert Hawkins, knows much more about the explosion than he pretends to know.

The show repeatedly features mysteries pertaining to the back ground of the main characters, the perpetrators of the nuclear attack and extend of devastation caused to the United State and its government.
